Julia Palmer
Julia's career as a 'cross-over' cellist reached a pinnacle
in 1999 when she was invited to tour with Nigel Kennedy, playing
his inimitable brand of Jimi Hendrix. Nigel then introduced
her to the Malvern Hills where she now lives with her husband,
Philip, and two young children, in a magnificent town mansion,
The Grove, which uniquely has its own concert hall and stage
where both Edward Elgar and George Bernard Shaw have performed
and where she and her husband hope to establish a creative
and performing arts centre. Work on her own brand of English
eclectic music - anything from folk tunes through classical
interludes to full-blown 'rave' anthems - will now resume
after a maternity gap. Julia first performed with Gavin and
Maurice fourteen years ago on their Dead Flowers tour.
